DE PEETERSSCHOOL
The radical interior overhaul of the original 1924 schoolbuilding reinstates its entrance, in the beautiful “Amsterdam School” style urban block. Replacing the leaking 1980s back extension results in an complete transformation establishing a new relationship of the school and its surroundings.
Reflecting the educational views and ambitions of the school the spacial organisation throughout the school is radically improved. Space is released for new programme while circulation and organisation within the school is rationalised, bringing the lower school into direct contact with the outside.
