Using principles of stacking, form and height this proposition combines practical, symbolic and tourist functions in a tower, a new beacon for the bulb industry.

Cloaked within an aerodynamic skin that encourages solar gain and natural ventilation, the tower provides a working environment for the bulb industry as well as viewing platforms for tourists to observe the beauty of the landscape. The whole object stands raised from the ground so views across the landscape are unimpeded at ground level.

The design was awarded an honourable mention for being “a high-profile icon for the bulb region.”
