In an existing house the ground floor is transformed into an independent apartment.

Through the addition of a new compact service core comprising bathroom and kitchen, the living and sleeping functions within the apartment are separated. With sliding doors between the spaces various connections can be made or privacy easily retained.

The back facade is extended and totally renewed. Fully opening, 3.5 metre height doors give new quality to the bedroom and study. Once folded away, the stone floor of the back rooms continues out onto the generous terrace which overlooks a lush garden.
