Jacob Obrechtstraat
Three large frameless glass sliding doors create this new back façade. Natural light now penetrates deep into the heart of this extensive renovation. A newly created lower level considerably increases the square metres of this early 19th century house in the Museum Kwartier of Amsterdam. The generous garden becomes part of the house through a terrace that links to circulation staircases. This makes a huge difference to the whole interior. The scheme is designed to stay within the boundaries that are supported within the exemption procedure (vrijstellingsprocedure ).
