A radical interior refurbishment of a 1933 school reinstates its entrance, in a beautiful “Amsterdam School” style urban block. The exploitation of the original steel structure of a leaking 1970s back extension results in an economical rebuild of the back of the school.

A fine tuning of programme throughout, results in a new gym overlooking the inner play area. Space is released for new programme, improving inner school connections and bringing the lower school into direct contact with the outside.
