Following the presentation of our research into the complex and possible future adaptations for the schools, we will now be working on an exhibition and publication.

Future Hall Concept

The 1954/61 complex, by Evers and Sarlemijn, comprising 2 schools and a church, has the scale of a small Italian village. A proposed new extension to one of the schools is coupled with a new multi-user church hall for the thriving Syriac community.

Future School Concept

In the future St Henricus School will be able to have more space within the main building. The school will be able to develop pre and after school activities within the freed up space. Future adaptations will try to be more sympathetic to the original architecture within the needs of a school for the 21st century.
